Disappointed with the first log splitter he purchased, Mighty Ox founder Mr. Zook set out to build his own. With a background in fabrication and small engines, Zook took the parts he trusted (like a sturdy Honda engine and powerful hydraulic pump) and combined them with a splitting process he thought could be more efficient than what he had seen on the market. The first Mighty Ox was born.
